Homeless Man Seeks Loving Home For His Beloved Dog
Clifford Herbert, 60, lost his home and job when he became ill with cancer back in 2006. The cancer has spread to his brain and doctors give him about 6 more weeks. Jenine-Lacette DShazer found out about Clifford’s situation and she set up a GoFundMe account. The funds are being used so Clifford and his beloved dog, Baby can stay in a hotel together. The man only had a few more week of life, and all he wanted to do was find his dog, Baby, a home.
Jenine-Lacette was so touched she started a GoFundMe page to raise funds so Cliff and Baby could get off the street.
With the help of Jenine-Lacette, he was able to stay at a motel out of the cold and safe. “She’s my whole world,” Cliff, also a gifted guitarist, said: “She’s my best friend. She protects me.” And Cliff protects Baby, in fact, he adopted her after rescuing her from a man who had been beating her with a flashlight.
Afterbeing diagnosed with cancer, that spread to his brain, Clifford knew he had to find a home for Baby before it was too late. Jenine-Lacette and several others, helped him to achieve his goal of getting Baby adopted.
Baby was adopted recently by a woman named Stephanie Walker and her family. She’ll be loved and even has a little pal to grow up with!
The family has other dogs, someone is at home with them all day, so Baby will be surrounded by loving friends.
