Curly Horse Breed Is Almost Too Cute To Exist
Horses are the most majestic animals on the planet. But did you know that they come in such a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colors? One breed of a horse stands out from all the rest.
They are the “Curlies.” Bet you have never seen a horse like this!
Curlies have a gene that gives them their distinct “curly” look.
Curlies are also considered to be “hypoallergenic.” They lack the protein in their hair that can cause allergic reactions in some people.
Because they have thick coats, they are always protected in colder environments.
You might not have seen one before, but they have been around for a long time.
Though the year of their origin is debated, no one knows for sure just how long.
Charles Darwin documented them in South America in the 19th century and they have been featured in Chinese artwork as far back as 161 AD.
Sioux Indians regard the Curly horse as a sacred mount, reserved only for chiefs and medicine men.
They are absolutely stunning.
