Back in 2013, Animal Place, a California rescue organization, saved 3,000 hens from life on an egg farm. Only one or two years old, the hens were set to be destroyed with gas.
But, thanks to the people who rescued them, they now had a long and happy life ahead of them – which included some very simple experiences that they had missed out on before.
Animal Place decided to video these gals as they encountered their first-ever snow day and their reaction is pretty darn cute! When the hens come pouring out of their cozy barn, the first out get to the edge of the snowy white blanket covering the ground and come to a screeching halt.
