Having to let your dog go is one of the worst things any dog lover can experience. Many say you will know when it’s time, but it still never feels right.
John Pointer wondered what that last day would be like for his dog, Benny. He thought about how Benny would feel and then he shared those feelings with Benny’s Facebook fans. The result was a beautiful and touching letter that perfectly captures the bond dogs have with their humans.

The letter also reminds us that dogs only know how to do one thing: Love.
