Dog Who Was Dumped At Shelter In A Garbage Bag Is Making A Remarkable Recovery
When 10-year-old Blackie had a tumor on her tail that was bleeding, she was abandoned by the people she thought loved her most.
Her owners dropped her at the Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, California, in a garbage bag, so they did not get blood in their vehicle.
The Frosted Faces Foundation saw a video of her online, and volunteers went to pick her up right away.
She was the sweetest dog, completely relaxed and at peace around all of the volunteers as if she knew they were there to help.
Once she greeted and sniffed everyone, it was time to get brushed.
And take a bath.
Next up was nail trimming.
And finally, a hearty meal.
Despite the pain caused by the tumor, she seemed to be enjoying herself.
When the volunteers touched the tumor while bathing her, she would wince in pain.
Blackie was scheduled to have surgery and is expected to make a full recovery and will then be put up for adoption.
The sweet dog deserves a loyal family. For now, she will continue to be showered with love by the volunteers at the Frosted Faces Foundation.
